Amish Milk Terrorists
July 10th, 2006From a recent (yahoo) news story, “Amish farmer says milk law opposes beliefs” by Joe Milicia (AP), Wed Jun 28, 2006:
MOUNT HOPE, Ohio - Arlie Stutzman was busted when an undercover agent bought raw milk from the Amish dairy farmer in an unlabeled container. Now, Stutzman is fighting the law that forbids the sale of raw milk, saying he believes it violates his religious beliefs.
“While I can and I have food, I’ll share it,” said Stutzman. “Do unto others what you would have others do unto you.”
What! How DARE these Amish provide milk to just anyone who wants it? FREE of any government regulation?! Have they no sense of authority?
Everybody knows that unless milk is government-approved, it is evil and dangerous. I’m glad our government is protecting people against this sort of thing. These Amish are out of control and what is that “do unto others” stuff? that sounds commie to me? or anarchist? or something islamic terrorists might say?

You make a good point. I just wonder when someone in Congress is going to find a pair and call these know-no-bounds Mennonites to testify in front of the appropriate committee!? Congress apparently felt FINE bringing some solid-citizen, value-adding, salt-of-the-earth oil company execs to rip them new ones … and that was back BELOW $3/gal gasoline! What if those oil guys had claimed some kind of religious “expression” or “freedom” BS!? Want better treatment from the guvm’t? Dress better; join a decent, mainstream religion (from the well-documented list of approved ones), and get a decent lobbiest!
